How-to Instructions:

Section Your Hair:
- Separate your hair into manageable sections (not too big, not too small). Depending on your hair thickness, clip away the top layers and start with the bottom layers. This ensures you get even results.

Choose Your Heat Setting:

- Turn on your flat iron and select the appropriate temperature. For fine hair, use a lower setting (around 300-350°F). For thick or coarse hair, you can go higher (around 420°F). The digital display will show you the temperature as it heats up. The temperature is displayed in °C (but don't worry, we have a heat conversion guide below in °F below). If you're not sure which temperature is best for you, start at a low setting and work your way up, until you get the results you want.

Styling Techniques:

Straightening:
- Take a small section of hair (from the main sections) and place it between the plates.
- Start near the roots and slowly glide the flat iron down to the ends. Avoid stopping mid-way to prevent creasing. For best results, use a rat tail comb or boar bristle brush and place it underneath the flat iron to chase it (aka The Chase Method).
- Repeat if needed (ideally, no more than 2x) to achieve your desired sleekness.

Curling:
- For curls, place the flat iron right above where you want your curl to start, twist it 180 degrees, and then glide downwards to the ends while keeping the same twist motion (keep in mind, the more you twist-the tighter your curl will be).
- Curl away from your face for a looser, body wave look. Curl towards your face for a fuller, more voluminous look.
- Release your hair from the iron, then hold the curl to let it set.

Let Your Hair Cool:
- Allow your styled hair to cool for a few minutes to set the style.
Turn Off and Store:
- After styling, always turn off your flat iron and unplug it. Allow it to cool down before storing it away.

__________

Do's

Do Choose the Right Temperature:
- Adjust the heat setting based on your hair type (lower for fine hair, higher for thick/coarse hair).

Do Use Heat Protectant:
- Always apply a heat protectant spray or serum to your hair before styling to minimize heat damage.

Do Use the Anti-Scald Feature:
- Hold the flat iron’s anti-scald edge to have more control and avoid burns.

Do Clean the Plates:
- Regularly wipe the ceramic plates off after use (and after cooling + unplugging) to remove any product residue... a paper towel and rubbing alcohol will work great!

Do Turn Off After Use:
- Always turn off and unplug the flat iron after styling to increase its longevity and effectiveness (as well as for safety).

Do Allow Hair to Cool:
- Let your hair cool after styling before adding extra products to help set the style.

Do Store Safely:
- Once cooled, store the flat iron in a safe place, away from moisture and heat.

Don'ts

Don’t Use on Wet Hair:
- Avoid using the flat iron on wet or damp hair, as that could cause damage and produce steam (which is NOT the goal).

Don’t Overheat:
- Don’t use excessively high heat settings; this increases your chance of heat damage, breakage and dryness.

 Don't Rush Through Styling:
- Take your time and avoid rushing, as this can lead to uneven results and damage.

Don’t Pull or Tug:
- Avoid pulling or tugging aggressively on your hair while using the flat iron, which could cause unnecessary tension and potential breakage.

Don’t Use on Synthetic or Human Hair Without Testing:
- If styling wigs or extensions, check the manufacturer's guide to avoid melting or damage.

Don’t Leave Unattended:
- Never leave the flat iron unattended (for long periods of time) while it’s turned on to prevent accidents.

Don’t Store While Hot:
- Don’t store the flat iron while it’s still hot; allow it to cool completely to avoid damaging surfaces or items nearby.
