How-to Instructions:
Prep for Your Style:- Start with dry or slightly damp/ damp hair. You can use a heat protectant (if using heat) or styling product to help hold the curls.
- Use a rat tail comb to divide your hair into manageable sections. For tighter curls, take smaller sections; for looser waves, go larger.
- Select a roller size based on your desired curl style:
-- Small Rollers (25mm):
--- For tighter curls.
-- Medium Rollers (36mm):
--- For bouncy, defined curls.-- Large Rollers (45mm):
--- For voluminous, soft waves.- Starting at the ends, wrap your hair around the roller, rolling toward your scalp. Make sure the Velcro grips the hair for a secure hold. Roll over for more volume, and roll under for more of a face framed look.
- Use the stainless steel clips to lock the rollers in place. This will ensure they stay put until you’re ready to take them out.
- To preserve your new or current style, let the rollers sit for at least 15 minutes to an hour, depending on how fresh your style is.
- For heatless results, let the rollers sit for at least 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on how defined you want your curls.
- Gently unclip and unwind the rollers from your hair, starting from the bottom sections.
- Lightly finger-comb or brush out your curls for your desired look. Add some hairspray for extra hold, and you’re all set!
__________
Do's:
Do Start with Dry or Slightly Damp Hair:
- Velcro rollers work best on dry or damp hair for lasting curls without frizz.
Do Roll Hair from Ends to Roots:
- Start rolling from the ends of your hair and work your way toward the scalp to ensure a smooth finish.
Do Secure the Rollers with Clips:
- Ensure the rollers stay in place all day or night by locking them with the included stainless steel clips.
Do Use a Blow Dryer for Faster Results:
- If you're in a hurry, use a blow dryer for 10-15 minutes on low heat to speed up the curling process (if starting from damp hair).
Do Clean your Rollers Regularly:
- Remove any hair and buildup from the Velcro to maintain their effectiveness and hygiene.
Do Mix Sizes for a Dynamic Style:
- For more dimension and texture, combine small, medium, and large rollers in different sections of your hair.
__________
Don'ts:
Don’t Use on Soaking Wet Hair:
- Rollers won't dry your hair effectively. Make sure it's dry or only slightly damp.
Don’t Roll Too Tightly:
- Rolling your hair too tight can cause discomfort and tension on your scalp, leading to breakage.
Don’t Yank the Rollers Out:
- Always unroll gently to avoid hair pulling or tangling, which can damage your strands.
Don’t Overload Each Roller:
- Avoid putting too much hair on a single roller; this can cause uneven curling and a less defined look.
Don’t Use High Heat Settings:
- If using a blow dryer, keep it on low heat to prevent damaging your hair and Velcro rollers.
Don’t Brush Your Curls Too Soon:
- Let the curls cool and set before brushing to maintain their shape and volume.
Don’t Skip Using a Heat Protectant:
- If you're using any heat tools with the rollers, always protect your hair from damage with a heat spray.
__________
Bonus Pro Tips:
- For added hold, apply a light mousse or styling spray to your curls before wrapping them in the rollers. This will enhance the longevity of your style without weighing it down.
- When taking down the rollers, hold the root of your hair and then use a twist/twirl motion to remove them, for a frizz-free looks.
- Make sure to apply even tension when rolling your hair. Too tight, and you risk breakage; too loose, and the roller won’t hold or create defined curls.
- Mix large rollers at the top of your head for volume, with smaller rollers around the face for tighter curls… this will create a natural look with dimension.
