__________

How-to Instructions:

Prep Your Hair:
- For best results, make sure your hair is dry and detangled.

- For thicker, curlier hair types: We recommend stretching or blow-drying your hair, for smoother results.

- Thoroughly apply a heat protectant and/or lightweight serum to your hair to prevent heat damage and add extra shine, while preventing excess frizz. Add only a small amount to avoid weighing your hair down (which can give a greasy look—definitely NOT the what we want).

- For longer-lasting crimps, consider lightly spraying your hair with a holding spray with humidity resistance PRIOR to waving.

Section Your Hair:
- Separate your hair into manageable sections (not too big, not too small). The smaller the section, the more defined your crimps will be (and vice versa). Depending on your hair's thickness, clip away the top layers and start with the bottom layers. This ensures you get even results.

Choose Your Heat Setting:

- Turn on your waver and select the appropriate temperature. For fine hair, use a lower setting (around 100-160°C). For thick or coarse hair, you can go higher (around 200-230°C). The digital display will show you the temperature as it heats up. The temperature is displayed in °C (but don't worry, we have a heat conversion guide below in °F below). If you're not sure which temperature is best for you, start at a low setting and work your way up, until you get the results you want.

Styling Techniques:

Creating Waves:
- Take a piece of hair (from the main sections) and place it between the barrels.

- Close the iron onto your hair and hold for 6-10 seconds (depending on how deep you want your waves to be). The longer you hold, the more defined the wave!

- Open the iron and move down the section, slightly overlapping the last wave to create a seamless, continuous wave. Repeat until you reach the ends.

The Finishing Touches:
- When finished, allow your hair to cool down.
- Apply a light hairspray for a strong hold and humidity protection.

Turn Off and Store:
- After styling, always turn off your iron and unplug it. Allow it to cool down before storing it away.

__________

Do's

Do Choose the Right Temperature:
- Adjust the heat setting based on your hair type (lower for fine hair, higher for thick/coarse hair).

Do Use Heat Protectant:
- Always apply a heat protectant spray or serum to your hair before styling to minimize heat damage.

Do Use the Anti-Scald Feature:
- Hold the waver’s anti-scald edges to have more control and avoid burns.

Do Create Sections:
- Divide your hair into manageable sections (especially for thicker hair types) for even heat distribution and easier styling.

Do Hold for a Few Seconds:
- Keep your hair clamped between the barrels for about 6-10 seconds for perfect waves without the risk of unnecessary heat damage.

Do Lightly Overlap:
- When moving down your hair, slightly overlap the last wave to create a perfectly flowing look and avoid choppiness.

Do Clean the Plates:
- Regularly wipe the ceramic barrels off after use (and after cooling + unplugging) to remove and prevent any product residue... a paper towel or damp cloth and rubbing alcohol will work great!

Do Turn Off After Use:
- Always turn off and unplug the iron after styling to increase its longevity and effectiveness (as well as for safety).

Do Allow Hair to Cool:
- Let your hair cool when finished before combing/ brushing through (or before moving to the next steps) to help set the style.

Do Store Safely:
- Once cooled, store the waver in a safe place, away from moisture and heat.

__________

Don'ts

Don’t Use on Wet Hair:
- Avoid using the iron on wet or damp hair, as that could cause damage and produce steam (which is NOT the goal).

Don’t Use on Matted Hair:
- Avoid using the curler on un-detangled/ matted hair, as this could lead to snagging, longer styling times, unnecessary breakage and damage, along with low-quality results.

Don’t Overheat:
- Don’t use excessively high heat settings; this increases your chance of heat damage, breakage and dryness.

 Don't Rush Through Styling:
- Take your time and avoid rushing, as this can lead to uneven and lackluster results.

Don’t Clamp too Hard:
- A gentle press is enough to create waves—don't squeeze too hard, as this can create harsh dents instead of smooth waves. Consider making your sections smaller if your waves are not defined enough (for your liking).

Don’t Use on Synthetic or Human Hair Without Testing:
- If styling wigs or extensions, check the manufacturer's guide to avoid melting or damage.

Don’t Leave Unattended:
- Never leave the waver unattended (for long periods of time) while it’s turned on to prevent accidents.

Don’t Store While Hot:
- Don’t store the iron while it’s still hot; allow it to cool completely to avoid damaging surfaces or items nearby.
