How-to Instructions:
Prep Your Hair:
- This comb is meant for both wet and dry hair, so feel free to start after a fresh wash, with a detangling product, or when your hair is tangled and dry.
Section Your Hair:
- Divide your hair into manageable sections. If you have thick or long hair, work in 4-8 sections to make detangling easier and more effective.
Start at the Ends:
- Begin detangling from the ends of your hair and gradually work your way up to the roots. This helps prevent breakage and makes it easier to remove knots.
Use Gentle Strokes:
- Use soft, downward strokes. Let the comb do the work—avoid yanking or pulling too hard to keep your hair healthy and intact.
Work Through Tangles:
- If you encounter a tough knot, don’t force the comb through! Instead, gently wiggle it back and forth while applying light pressure to loosen the tangles before continuing. You can also pull apart the knot strand by strand.
Finish with a Scalp Massage:
- Once your hair is tangle-free, take a moment to run the comb lightly over your scalp. This will stimulate blood circulation and give a soothing feel.
Style as Desired:
- Now that your hair is detangled and smooth, style it the way you want! Whether you’re going for silky straight or bouncy curls, you’re all set to go for it.
Clean Your Comb:
- After use, wash your comb with warm water and soap (shampoo will work as well) to remove any product buildup or hair. Allow it to air dry to keep it in tip-top shape.
__________
Do’s:
Do Use on Wet or Dry Hair:- Use the comb on both wet and dry hair, depending on your preference. It works well with detangling products, when detangling in the shower (under running water), and also works well with dry hair.
- Divide your hair into smaller sections for easier detangling, especially if you have thick or curly hair.
- Use gentle strokes to minimize tugging and pulling. Let the comb glide through your hair rather than forcing it.
- Store your comb in a cool, dry place to maintain its quality and longevity.
- Use a leave-in conditioner, detangling spray or pre poo before using the comb to help it glide through knots more easily.
Do Use on Extensions/Wigs:
- Feel free to use the comb on wigs and hair extensions for gentle detangling without damage.
__________
Don’ts:
- If you encounter a tough knot, don’t yank, pull or force the comb through it. Instead, gently work through the knot with your fingers or the comb to avoid damage.
- Keep the comb away from direct heat sources. While it is heat-resistant, it’s best to avoid exposing it directly to high temperatures.
- Avoid soaking the comb for long periods, as this can damage the material over time.
Don’t Use with Product Buildup:
- Avoid using the comb while if it has product build-up from a previous detangling session. This can hinder its effectiveness.
__________
Bonus Pro Tips:
- Use the comb’s teeth for a gentle scalp massage during detangling. This boosts blood circulation to your scalp, promoting healthy hair growth.
